Blue Hour - A poem about grasping onto sadness
Sitting by the ocean
Watching the water
I whisper my oath
The tide went it
And it went out
And you were gone
The wind wrapped my finger
I can’t cry, I can’t show tears
'Cause the sea can only
Handle so much blue
Before it floods
You cannot control when life takes something or someone away from you. You also cannot suppress your sadness about the sudden changes. You also cannot look the other way, at the shadow that smells so familiar, but so rotten.
